Hystar

Hystar is a Norwegian technology company specializing in efficient PEM electrolysers for the production of green hydrogen from water electrolysis. Hystar develops and manufactures the world’s most efficient PEM electrolysers, making hydrogen production from renewable electricity significantly cheaper and thus more readily available for green transition investments. The company’s current annual electrolyser production capacity is 100 MW, with the aim of increasing it to 4.5 GW through an automated plant. Hystar has been awarded a grant of up to 26 million euros from the EU Innovation Fund for the company’s automated production line investment.

CAPEX Advisors has acted as financial advisor to Hystar in its EU Innovation Fund application process. CAPEX Advisors was tasked with developing the project’s financial model for the application and elements related to the financial evaluation of the application. Additionally, CAPEX Advisors developed a company-level financial model, based on the EU Innovation Fund financial model.
